PRIVACY NOTICE

Scandinavian Content Group AB (below “SCG”, we, our) is a production company which creates and produces films, TV-series and entertainment. We are serious about protecting your personal integrity when processing your personal data. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect and process your personal data as well as specifies what rights you have in relation to the same. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions. The persons whose personal data we collect under this privacy notice, i.e. the Data Subject, shall below be referred to as “you”. 

We take measures to ensure that your personal data always is protected with us and that the processing of your personal data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws as well as our internal guidelines and routines. 

WHO IS THE CONTROLLER?

The following companies are part of the same corporate structure as SCG and are covered by this privacy notice. Each of the following companies is to be considered data controller in relation to the personal data processed by each company.

HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Collection and processing of personal data may take place when you are engaged, in any capacity, for one of the projects we are developing or when you make contact with us due to your interest of participating in such projects. Your personal data may be kept as a part of our internal contact details as a business contact or we may have collected your personal data in activities related to our business intelligence.  

We always aim to collect and process your personal data with the greatest possible consideration for your integrity and to not collect more data than necessary for the purpose in question. 

Under certain circumstances we may also engage third parties for collection and handling of personal data, for example, casting agents, financial service providers etc. In such cases we always make sure that such third parties also follow the applicable provisions for the handling and processing of your personal data. 

WHAT TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?

We collect the personal data required for us to conduct our business in a serious manner as well as the personal data required for us to fulfil our commitments in relation to the people, companies (incl. but not limited to e.g. commissioning entities and other organizations we have agreements with). We may e.g. collect the personal data required for us to enter into an agreement with you for your services in relation to one of our productions, such as address, e-mail address, phone number, personal identification number and banking information in order to pay out compensation. Personal data may also be information provided at castings for an actor assignment where we, other than personal data, also may require information regarding for example clothes size. Phone number and e-mail address may also be stored in order to reach you for the purpose of work collaborations, invitations to events etc. Further information regarding our collection of personal data and the processing of the same is provided below. 

HOW DO WE HANDLE PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS?

We do not normally collect personal identification numbers. Should we however collect your personal identification number, we will only process it if is clearly motivated with respect to the purpose and necessary for safe identification or if there is another noteworthy reason. We minimize the use of your personal identification number as far as possible. When possible, we will use your year- and day of birth instead.

PURPOSE & TYPE OF DATA
LAWFUL GROUND FOR PROCESSING
In order to send newsletter and invitations to seminars and events to the people who have expressed an interest for such activies.

Type of data: Name, contact details, e.g. e-mail address and phone number.
The processing is necessary in order for us to meet our legitimate interest of sending information about our business as well as our parties and events. The processing is also necessary for us to fulfil our contractual obligations in relation to the members.
For the purpose of processing scripts and other production related material

Type of data: Name and contact details such as e-mail address, phone number and address.
The processing is based on a balancing of interests where we have a legitimate interest of being able to process those of your personal data necessary for communication regarding scripts and other production related material.
For the purpose of handling matters in relation to auditions and casting

Type of data: Name, e-mail address, address, age, personal identification number, resumé and references.
The processing is based on our legitimate interest of being able to identify the suitability of individuals expressing an interest of participating in one of our productions.

As regards the processing of sensitive data in relation to auditions and casting the processing is based on your expressly given consent to our processing of your personal data.

Should you participate in one of our productions a contract will be entered into with you. In such case the lawful ground of processing will be our fulfilment of the contract with you.
For the purpose of documenting the business as well as to be used in marketing but also in editorial contexts.

Type of data: Pictures, name and title
The processing is necessary in order for us to meet our legitimate interest of documenting the business and inform about our events.
Following our duty to fulfill legal obligations according to legal requirements, judgment by court or decision by authority, e.g. the Accounting Act.

Type of data: Name, personal identification number, e-mail address, phone number, user name, billing address.
Fulfillment of legal obligations. This collection of your personal data is required by law.
For the purpose of administering our contracts and to have information about participants in our productions and in some cases their relatives and associates

Type of data: Name, personal identification number, address, e-mail address, phone number, banking and insurance information, pictures
The processing is necessary to fulfill our contract with you.

Your, our and any commissioning entity's legitimate business interest of processing your personal data when communicating about the current project but also about other projects.
To handle employments and assignments

Type of data: Name, e-mail address, phone number, age and personal identification number, information in resume, banking and insurance information
The processing is based on you giving your consent to us communicating with the you regarding the current hiring process. The processing of any references and previous colleagues is based on a balancing of the interests of you and the controller.
In order to communicate with points of contact at resellers, providers and other partners in our daily activities and in relation to the production of our various projects

Type of data: Contact details such as name, e-mail-address, phone number as well as banking and insurance information.
The processing is based on our and our partner's legitimate interest of being able to communicate with you and the company or organization that you represent regarding business related issues.

SECURITY FOR YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We use a number of security techniques and methods to protect your personal data from unwanted access, usage and disclosure. The personal data you provide us with is, for example, processed in data systems to which access is limited and which are located in sheltered premises. 

FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR RIGHT TO RECTIFICATION, ERASURE ETC.

The GDPR provides you with a number of rights in relation to your personal data. We will only process your personal data to the extent necessary in relation to your rights under applicable data legislation. You have the right to, e.g.: 

  • Request that we provide information regarding what of your personal data we are processing and how we are processing it in a extract from the register of the personal data undergoing processing (“Right to access”). We may however charge a small fee for such service;
  • Request that we correct any of your information which you find is no longer accurate (“rectification”);
  • Request restriction of the processing we are doing in relation to your personal data (“Right to restrict processing”);
  • Request the erasure of your personal data (“the right to be forgotten”). This means that you may demand the erasure of your personal data if it is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was collected. Keep in mind that there may be legal obligations which prevent an erasure, e.g. legal requirements in tax- or accounting legislation;
  • Receive a digital copy, to the extent that it is technically possible, of the personal data which concerns you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. This however only concerns data which you yourself have provided us with and which we process on a certain lawful ground, such as a contract with you; and 
  • Otherwise object to our processing

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for us to fulfil our contractual obligations with you and for as long as it is required by law. When we keep your personal data for other purposes than our contractual obligations, e.g. for the fulfilment of accounting requirements and other regulatory capital requirements, we only keep your personal data for as long as it’s necessary and/or a legal requirement for each purpose. 

WHERE DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

As a starting point we process your personal data within the EU. Should we use a service provider who transfers your personal data to countries outside of the EU and the EEA we will take measures to protect your personal data in accordance with applicable legal requirements, e.g. by demanding guarantees that the provider protects the data in accordance with current data protection laws, although such partner . WHO MAY WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH?

We may come to share your personal data with affiliated companies, employees and agents, partners, third party service providers, external advisors, government agencies, regulators and authorities, courts and other tribunals.
